HAPPY BIRTHDAY to these great musicians that I photographed back in the day.

Sting (The Police) was born on October 2, 1951, as Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner.
17 Grammy Awards, playing in his own musical, and turning 75 years old. Pretty impressive.

Lindsey Buckingham, one of my favorite guitarists, was born on October 3, 1949.
I’ve seen him live several times, listened to him on my headphones a lot, and am still impressed every time.

Tom Petty was born on October 20, 1950. Sadly, this influential musician passed away in 2017. He was one of the greats.

Steve Lukather, know for Toto, can be heard as a session musician on more than 1500 albums. Wow! He turns 69 years old on October 21.

Bill Wyman of The Rolling Stones was born on October 24, 1936.
By far the oldest living musician on this list, he recently performed and recorded with his own band: Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings.

Who do you want to wish a happy birthday?
