“If he doesn’t have anything in his hands, he gets very bored,” Ringo’s manager told me right before the photoshoot. I quickly grabbed an umbrella out of the back of my car and handed it to him. He was doing a press junket in the Netherlands in 1979. It made the pictures much more fun and dynamic. How lucky am I that I had an umbrella handy?

I can’t believe Ringo’s still touring! It’s amazing. I thought I had a lot of energy. But he turned 85 this month. Incredible. 

I was very blessed to meet Ringo 3 times. The Beatles are one of my favourite bands ever. He was pleasant, friendly, and just lovely every time. And he is incredibly funny!
