The National Portrait Gallery in Manchester used two of my pictures of David Bowie for their immersive art experience, created by FRAMELESS.
‘Stories brought to life’ tells the extraordinary stories behind some of the nation’s favorite portraits. Of course, David Bowie is a national hero. They’ve built a 10 000 square foot digital gallery for this occasion.

David Bowie wears an eyepatch, in red suit with guitar on blue background at TopPop television studios in Hilversum, the Netherlands while doing his hit song Rebel Rebel in 1974. I took this photo of him along with a few other Dutch photographers during the taping of this video. Bowie was running late and this historic moment almost never happened due to the TV crew wanting to go home on time. But luckily they stayed and this iconic photo was able to be made.
