REMEMBERING FRED LINCOLN WRAY JR.

American guitarist, songwriter, and singer Fred Lincoln Wray Jr, a.k.a. Link Wray, performed live at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in August of 1979.

I took some cool posed and live pictures of this guy, known for his 1958 single “Rumble” which contributed to the rock music genre and was used in Pulp Fiction by Tarantino.

Recently, his daughter reached out to me via email, which touched my heart. I have received emails from children of people I’ve photographed in the past, usually after they have passed away. It gives me solace to know that they have my pictures as a memento to their special parents.

Later that day, after I heard from Link Wray’s daughter, someone emailed me asking for my pictures for a documentary.

I put on Rumble and thought back fondly.
