The great Jerry Lee Lewis once signed my Great Balls of Fire record from his car.
I had run after him, shouting “Killer! Killer!” Maybe not the best idea, but it worked.

It was 1995, and my wife and I had gone to a concert called Legends. Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, and Little Richard performed. I wasn’t allowed to photograph the show, and they didn’t want me to take pictures backstage. I’m grateful things were different back in the ‘70s or I wouldn’t have had a career.

At least I got an autograph and great picture of Jerry Lee Lewis. Although, I almost didn’t. When I asked for an autograph, he said “Do you have a pen?” No! Of all the times not to have a pen! But luckily his driver had one on him. Phew!

Back in 1978, I had taken some cool shots of him live in Amsterdam. My wife and I used to dance to his music a lot. Good memories.
