As I am still, and will always be, a huge Beatles fan, I am so excited about Ringo Starr touring in 2026. At 85-years-old, this man amazes me with his positivity and energy.

I met Ringo three times in my life. I feel extremely lucky. He was so nice and quirky. The first time was when he was doing a press junket in the Netherlands, in 1979. I had moved to the Netherlands from L.A. 3 years earlier.

When I asked Ringo’s manager if I could get him alone for a few exclusive shots, he said: “Sure! But be aware, if he has nothing in his hands, he gets very bored and will leave.”

I dove into the back of my car, fished out an old umbrella and handed it to one of my all-time heroes, Ringo. We had a lot of fun doing this shoot.

He will be touring a few Western states in the US in May and June of 2026 with his All Starr Band. In the meantime, I am left to enjoy the fond memories I have of seeing the Beatles vs the Stones show twice! I recently took my youngest daughter and we had a blast.
