An ice rink in Amsterdam used to double as a music venue.
It’s a beautiful place, the Jaap Eden Hall. They used to put floorboards and chairs out on the ice and give concerts.

I saw Van Halen, ABBA, James Brown, and Fleetwood Mac there.
As a newly arrived Californian, I was freezing out there on the ice!
I much preferred the Paradiso venue in Amsterdam, that used to be a church.
Filled with people, it’s a very pretty and toasty place.
