HAPPY BIRTHDAY to these rock stars that I photographed back in the day.

1 September 1946 – Barry Gibb was born. He later formed the BeeGees with his brothers Maurice and Robin, who I photographed. Unfortunately, Barry didn’t show up that day, making me the only Barry in the room.

September 3, 1942, was the day Al Jardine was born. He later co-founded The Beach Boys. Happy 84th birthday!

5 September 1946 was the birthday of Freddie Mercury, born as Farrokh Bulsara. As we all know, he sadly passed away in 1991 and is dearly missed.

September 5th is also the birthday of Dweezil Zappa, who’s dad I shot.

September 6 is the day Roger Waters of Pink Floyd turns 83 years old.

September 7, 1951, was the day a super cool baby was born:Chrissie Hynde. Happy 75th birthday, Chrissie!

10 September 1950 was the birthday of Joe Perry, later guitar player of Aerosmith, who I shot live in 1976.

22 September 1958, another cool baby was born! Joan Jett celebrates her 68th birthday today.

23 September 1949 was the day Bruce Springsteen was born. Can you believe this guy turns 77 today? Neither can I. 

29 September 1935, Jerry Lee Lewis, nicknamed “The Killer” was born. He passed away in 2022 at 87 years old.
